Isle of Wonders was born around a Dungeons & Dragons table. What started as friends sharing stories grew into a festival of fantasy, creativity, and community. That’s why we’re beyond proud to welcome two D&D legends to the island this year: Luke Gygax and Kate Welch!

Isle of Wonders proudly presents a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for adventurers and dreamers alike. This year, the festival welcomes two titans of the Dungeons & Dragons world: Luke Gygax, son of the game’s creator Gary Gygax and founder of Gary Con, and Kate Welch, former Wizards of the Coast designer and renowned DM and storyteller.
They will each host exclusive, intimate D&D sessions right here on our enchanted island, inviting YOU to step into a world of high fantasy, danger, and heroism guided by these legendary dungeon masters themselves.
Meet the Dungeon Masters
A lifelong ambassador for the world’s greatest roleplaying game, Luke is a designer, author, and Dungeon Master who has carried on the Gygax legacy. He’s also the mastermind behind Gary Con, an annual gathering celebrating the life and works of his father, Gary Gygax. At Isle of Wonders, Luke will run high-stakes adventures filled with classic dungeon crawling, old-school surprises, and unforgettable twists.
One of the most beloved modern voices in the D&D scene, Kate Welch made waves at Wizards of the Coast, contributing to iconic adventures and co-hosting the hit streaming series “Dice, Camera, Action”. Her storytelling style blends heart, humor, and epic fantasy into sessions that leave a lasting impact. Kate’s sessions are ideal for roleplayers who love deep narratives, unexpected choices, and memorable NPCs.

Step 1: Fill out the D&D Session Application Form
Step 2: Wait for your adventuring fate to be decided! (Players will be chosen via first-come-first-serve system)
Spots are limited!
Participation Fee
To ensure an intimate and high-quality experience, a session fee of 100 € applies for players selected to join. This contribution helps support our special guests, game materials, and it guarantees you a seat at an unforgettable table.
Bonus Souvenir
Each session will be professionally recorded, so you’ll receive a personal video of your adventure—a one-of-a-kind keepsake from your time at the table with a legendary Dungeon Master.
Players will be notified by email if they secured their spot, along with payment instructions.
Additional Info
Sessions will be beginner-friendly, but some D&D experience is recommended.
Pre-generated characters will be provided.
System: 5th edition of Dungeons&Dragons, 2014.
