By entering and participating in the competition you agree with the above rules.
There are four categories to participate in: Single small model, Single large model, Diorama and Bust.
- Single small model:
This category is tailored for painters who excel in the intricate details of smaller-scale miniatures. Entries in the Single Small Model category should adhere to the following size limitations: 25mm-55mm scale, on a base no longer than 60mm in diameter, with total height no more than 75mm. Artists are encouraged to showcase their skill in capturing the essence of characters or creatures within the confines of a compact canvas.
- Single large model
The Single Large Model category caters to those who relish the challenge of larger miniatures. Entries in this category should adhere to size limitations: 75 mm - 150mm model size, on a base no larger than 300mm in diameter, total height no more than 400mm. Participants are invited to unleash their creativity on a grander scale, bringing larger-than-life characters, creatures, or figures to vivid, awe-inspiring reality.
- Diorama
Craft a captivating narrative within a confined space in the Diorama category. Entries should adhere to size limitations: the total base dimensions should not exceed 400mm x 400mm and there is no height limit. This category challenges artists to create a visually stunning scene that tells a story, combining multiple miniatures (at least two figures), scenic elements, and imaginative details within a limited space.
- Bust
The Bust category celebrates the artistry of facial expressions and upper torsos. Participants are tasked with bringing characters to life through detailed depictions of faces and upper bodies. This category is ideal for those who appreciate the nuances of character portrayal and wish to showcase their mastery within the specified size constraints.
As a note, size restrictions are regarding the models and their basing elements only and do not include any plinths the entry may be attached to unless the basing scheme extends into said plinth.
If you have any questions about where your model belongs, our staff members in charge of the competition can assist you. You will always be able to find them near the model exhibition area.
Entries will be evaluated by a panel of three expert judges, as well as by festival attendees through a popular vote via our official voting app. The app will feature professionally photographed images of each entry, ensuring fair and accessible voting.
Each category will have four main awards:
- Gold
- Silver
- Bronze
- Vox Populi – Winner of the popular vote
Judges may also award Honorable Mentions at their discretion, recognizing entries that demonstrate remarkable creativity, technical skill, or unique storytelling elements.
While the models won’t be judged based on theme, we encourage painters to immerse themselves in the essence of fantastical worlds, weaving tales of heroism, magic, and wonder through their miniature masterpieces. Whether it's capturing the mystique of hidden realms, depicting epic battles between mythical beings, or bringing to life iconic characters from fantasy lore, the theme of the Wizard’s Odyssey encourages a diverse array of interpretations within the magical realms of fantasy.

Craftworld Studios
Aleksandra Cvetanovski and Marko Miladinović, the artistic couple behind Craftworld Studio, have been recognized in the miniature painting community for many years due to their distinctive painting style and artistic approach. Their innovative style was identified as something refreshing from the inception of their Miniature Art journey. Prior to their deep involvement in Miniatures, both artists had a background in the arts, having graduated from an art college.
As graduates in Applied Arts, they initially pursued their artistic endeavors on canvases and within the Design industry. However, their passion for both traditional and applied arts led them to transition into the Miniature Art Field, where they exchanged their two-dimensional canvases for three-dimensional ones, specifically Display Miniatures.
Beyond their artistic pursuits, both Aleksandra and Marko share a love for gaming, immersing themselves in the lore of popular gaming systems that ultimately brought them closer to the world of miniatures in the first place.
