KATE WELCH

Kate Welch is a game designer, writer, and performer best known for her work on Dungeons & Dragons at Wizards of the Coast (2018–2020). She contributed to key 5e titles like Waterdeep: Dragon Heist, Descent into Avernus, and Ghosts of Saltmarsh, helping define modern D&D storytelling.

She also played the beloved Rosie Beestinger in Acquisitions Incorporated: The “C” Team and hosted the quirky design stream Welch’s Game Juice. Before D&D, she worked on Guild Wars 2 at ArenaNet and led UX design for Amazon’s Crucible. After Wizards, she joined Secret Door, a studio under Dreamhaven.
