MARTA BRATKOVIĆ – NOCTAVIA
About
Marta Bratković was born in Zagreb, Croatia in 1990 (January 8, same day as David Bowie! – and flexing this fact is a big part of her artistic personality). She studied classical violin meticulously from an early age in Croatia, competed in diverse competitions, performed concerts and recitals both solo and as part of chamber ensembles. She got her many degrees from renowned universities: Zagreb Academy of Music, Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Budapest, and Meadows School of the Arts at SMU in Dallas, USA.
Aside of her classical tendencies, she is a versatile artist dabbling in pop performances, electric violin events, dance, acting, and movie composition. She performs regularly in a musical/dance play about composer Dora Pejačević and children’s plays in the independent theatre ‘Kazalište Tvornica Lutaka’. For the past 5 years she plays with the Zagreb philharmonic orchestra as a section musician, and she has her private online violin teaching studio because she obviously does not appreciate having any free time on her hands being a Capricorn and all.
As part of her pop persona, she performed on stage with big names such as Avril Lavigne, Michael Bublé, Maksim Mrvica, Andrea Bocelli along with local legends: late Oliver Dragojević, Severina, Vesna Pisarović, Let 3, Neno Belan, Vanna, Gabi Novak and many others.
Her newest project is her fantasy persona, Noctavia, and her goal is to play on as many fantasy festivals as possible in the future.
