Milivoj Ćeran is a powerhouse fantasy illustrator from Croatia, renowned for his masterful traditional artworks that have captivated audiences worldwide. Since 2002, he has been crafting intricate illustrations for major franchises such as Magic: The Gathering, Dungeons & Dragons, Hearthstone, and Flesh and Blood. His dedication to traditional media sets him apart in an increasingly digital art world, bringing a timeless quality to his creations.
Beyond his commercial success, Ćeran is celebrated for his personal project, The Norse Mythology Art Book, a richly detailed collection that showcases his deep appreciation for mythological narratives. This work, successfully funded in 2017 in collaboration with Jon Schindehette and Art Order, highlights his ability to intertwine storytelling with visual artistry.
His art has been featured in esteemed publications like Spectrum: The Best in Contemporary Fantastic Art and Infected by Art, and displayed at prominent conventions including Illuxcon, GenCon, and San Diego Comic-Con. In recognition of his contributions to the fantasy art genre, Ćeran received the “Best Artist – Hall of Fame” award from the European Science Fiction Society in 2018.
